Fantastically fanatical

Smudo and Four Motors attack the 24H race on the Nürburgring - supported by MAHLE

Two plus four makes future

MAHLE's dual strategy meets Four Motors' Bioconcept cars. The future we are making today and the question of what tomorrow's mobility will look like has been on our minds for some time. The conflict between sustainable mobility solutions and the passion for automobiles, motor sports and combustion engines seems to be pre-programmed - despite the realization that the world will not change overnight.

Bridge builders: MAHLE & Four Motors

The racing team FOUR MOTORS with driver Smudo, frontman of the band "Die Fantastischen Vier", and team manager Thomas von Löwis show in an impressive way how to do one thing without leaving the other behind. Since this is a philosophy that MAHLE pursues with its dual strategy 1:1, it will be a sponsor of the Four Motors racing team with immediate effect.

Green Power for the mobility of the future

With its "fastest test laboratory on the world's toughest racetrack", the team has been consistently using innovative and environmentally friendly technologies since 2003. With their Bioconcept car, they were the first motorsport team in the world to create sustainability that can be touched and will once again prove this at the Nürburgring's Nordschleife at the 24h race from the 20th to the 23rd of June. With a combination of environmentally friendly high-tech solutions such as lightweight bio-components, bio-fuels and sustainably refined oil that has been thought through down to the last detail and continuously optimised, the creators want to build a bridge to production-ready electric mobility.

We think that approach fits MAHLE like a glove. The core of our dual strategy is the continuous optimization of the combustion engine in terms of CO2 savings potential and the simultaneous development of innovative solutions and products for alternative drive technologies. We are learning, doing and getting better all the time. With the expansion of our electronics expertise and the development of even better system solutions for electrified vehicles (e.g. thermal management and drive train), we are always looking for a holistic approach, since efficiency never depends solely on the engine - regardless of whether it is a combustion engine or an electric motor.

Closer and in the heart of it: Live coverage of the race track

Next weekend, you'll find out how green fares in the Green Hell when Smudo and his team compete at the Nürburgring 24-hour race in the 911 GT3 Cup and the  Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

If you can't make it to the race track and still want to learn more about Four Motors, the drivers and the race itself, you can follow the action in the live vlog by and with former Miss Tuning Vanessa Schmitt.

Just have a look: from 20.-23.06. directly on MAHLE MPULSE.

Triumph for Care for Climate

Despite a smaller squad, Four Motors Team Head Thomas von Löwis of Menar and his team mates Daniel Schellhaas and Axel Duffner achieved a brilliant performance: With 22nd place in the overall standings, they achieved the best result in team history. And in addition, they even scored class victory in the Alternative Fuels (AT) category. We say: Congratulations to the entire Care for Climate Team.
