Signs point to success for BMW Motorsport

After two strong races, BMW Motorsport takes on the final third of the season at the Nürburgring. The MAHLE Motorsport partner has many positive memories of the circuit in the Eifel region.

BMW Motorsport and MAHLE Motorsport have every reason to be positive going into races 13 and 14 of the current DTM season. Since the start of the partnership in 2014, BMW Motorsport has always celebrated a win at the Nürburgring.

Marco Wittmann was added to the list of winners in 2014 and 2016, and Maxime Martin in 2015. In the current drivers’ standings, they are both in a promising position with 93 and 102 points respectively. Only Timo Glock is doing better currently. The best-placed BMW DTM driver with 104 points is currently in fourth place in the overall standings.

And BMW Motorsport is experiencing an upward trend in the manufacturers’ standing. The MAHLE Motorsport partner picked up 281 points over the last three race weekends – the best result of the three manufacturers involved. Going into the race in the Eifel region, BMW Motorsport is in second place with 405 points.

The race on 9th September gets underway at 2:45 p.m. CEST, on Sunday, the DTM drivers are in action 30 minutes later.
