Formula 1 season end in Abu Dhabi

Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen will be racing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in the United Arab Emirates.

The "Yas Marina Circuit" in Abu Dhabi is one of the newest racetracks on the Formula 1 racing calendar. The 5.554 km course has only featured at the top level since 2009.

At the penultimate race of the season in Brazil, Sebastian Vettel claimed his fifth win of 2017, while team-mate Räikkönen finished third, celebrating his seventh podium of the year.

Approaching the final race of the season, Vettel is in second place in the drivers’ championship, with 302 points. He has also been the most successful driver in the last three races, picking up 55 points. Räikkönen is in fifth position with 193 points.

Vettel has recorded three race wins in the United Arab Emirates, making him one of the most successful drivers in this event. Last year, he also chalked up the fastest lap at the “Yas Marina Circuit” for Scuderia Ferrari, going round in 1:43:729 minutes.

Scuderia Ferrari is in second place in the constructors’ championship going into the race in Abu Dhabi, with 495 points. This already represents the best points total for Scuderia Ferrari since the current points system was introduced in 2010.

The 20th race of the season starts on Sunday 26th November at 17:00 local time for Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen. MAHLE Motorsport wishes Scuderia Ferrari all the best for a successful race weekend.
