BMW Motorsport, partner of MAHLE Motorsport in the DTM, is looking ahead to the second overseas trip of the season. Races nine and ten in 2017 are taking place just outside Moscow.
The drivers and teams have every reason to approach the 2,000-km journey in optimistic mood. They have fond memories of the Moscow Raceway and they can rely on the technology of BMW and its partners like MAHLE Motorsport.
The numerous corners and changes of direction on the circuit demand maximum concentration from the drivers, and BMW recorded a top-four shut-out there in last year’s Sunday race: Marco Wittmann triumphed ahead of Tom Blomqvist, Bruno Spengler and Augusto Farfus.
Maxime Martin is currently the best-placed BMW driver, holding third place in the overall DTM standings. Ahead of the race in Moscow, BMW is in third place in the manufacturers’ standings with 248 points.
Saturday’s race starts at 14:30 CET, while the DTM drivers will be starting their laps of the Moscow circuit one hour earlier on Sunday.
